Although she focuses primarily on family-based immigration and naturalization cases, she is experienced in all areas of immigration, including employment-based immigration. She has worked in a legal office in multiple settings, including the United Nations, the U.S. Government, a non-profit organization, and in both large and small law firms, giving her a comprehensive perspective and a diverse client base in immigration law. Luisa previously held the position as Managing Attorney of Immigration Services at the Lawrenceville office of the Latin American Association, where she assisted pro-bono and lower income individuals and families.

In addition to providing experience and dependability, Luisa focuses on the individual needs of each client. Her parents and uncles were all immigrants, so she grew up seeing the struggle of adapting to a new culture with no one to assist. Her parents both passed away before she became an immigration attorney, so she tries to honor their memory through her work.  She has a special place in her heart for clients who want to bring their parents to the U.S.  She understands that no two cases are alike. Luisa devotes time to understanding the issues affecting each person and explaining the complexities of the immigration process, so clients clearly understand how the law affects their case. She has a genuine concern and understanding of how much may be at stake when a loved one is undocumented.  She has witnessed firsthand how impactful immigration laws can be on a person and his/her family and is passionate about helping her clients keep their family together.  Luisa provides compassion and dedication from start to finish for each of her clients to make sure someone fights for their security.

Before law school she traveled the world for many years working at the United Nations, mostly focused on negotiations of human rights and environmental protection agreements.  She speaks Spanish, and some rusty French, and enjoys learning new languages.
