DACA Update
DACA Update. USCIS is now accepting applications for DACA renewals
A federal court order from January 10th ordering USCIS to accept extensions filed under the DACA program, has made USCIS to resume accepting requests to renew deferred action status under DACA.
Individuals who were previously granted deferred action under DACA may request renewal as well as renewal of their work authorizations. This only applies to renewals, not to new applications or advance parole (travel documents).
If you previously had DACA status and it expired on or after Sept. 5, 2017, you may be eligible to file a renewal or extension request. If you or one you know is in this situation, call us today to help with the filing. There is no information on how long this renewal option will be available. People who are eligible to file may want to do so very quickly before the door closes. Call our immigration lawyers today and renew your DACA.
